The Carbon Laser Facial also known as the carbon peel is a non-invasive laser treatment where we combine skin treatments with laser treatments to clear, detox, brighten, and firm the skin without major downtime.

This is a great treatment to improve the overall appearance and quality of the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin which in turn helps to tackle  a wide range of concerns

The treatment involves the application of a layer of black carbon paste, which is known for its ability to absorb excess oil and impurities from the skin. As the product absorbs and dries, it clings to any impurities that you may have on the skin, such as spots, blackheads, and dead skin cells.

Once the carbon has dried, we then go over the face with the Nd:YAG laser. The laser light is attracted to the black carbon and absorbs the light energy from the laser, causing it to vaporize. As the laser makes contact with the carbon, you will hear a ‘crackle.’ This is nothing to worry about and is just the sound of the laser vaporizing the carbon. This is what is known as the exfoliation process, which unclogs pores and removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin clearer, brighter, and smoother.

The heat from the laser then penetrates deep into the dermis, stimulating the production of both collagen and elastin, which in turn helps with skin firming, tightening, and improvements to tone, texture, and overall appearance.

While being a great treatment for oily skin, enlarged pores, blackheads, and dull, uneven skin, it is also very comprehensive for a range of other skincare concerns such as redness, rosacea, and acne.
