The laser used for laser hair removal produces energy that is absorbed by the pigment within the hair, which heats up and destroys the active hair follicles. This process will inhibit any further hair growth from that follicle.
Laser only works on hairs that are in the active stage of growth (anigen). Other hairs that are not in this stage will be targeted during subsequent treatments. The treatment is not suitable for those with blonde, grey, white and red hair, as they don’t have any pigment.
Once you begin your course of laser hair removal, it is important that you SHAVE between treatments, as this does not affect the follicle. DO NOT wax, pluck or epilate. This will have the opposite intended effect, as you are strengthening the follicle we are trying to destroy. The main contraindications for this treatment are sun exposure, active tan, pregnancy, epilepsy, and certain medications.
You can choose one of our Hair Removal packages or have a more bespoke treatment with our individual areas, which ever area we are treating you should expect to repeat your treatment every 4 – 8 weeks. A full consultation and patch test is required prior to treatment.

What Is Laser Hair Removal? Laser Hair Removal works as the Laser Light is selectively absorbed by melanin, the pigment in the hair follicle. The light energy heats the pigment and effectively destroys the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding cells.
How Is the treatment carried out? The Laser is placed on the skin and short pulses of light are released, this targets the hair follicle simultaneously. This is repeated until your section of concern has been treated.
What should I expect the treatment to feel like? This treatment is often compared to the sensation of of a flick of an elastic band, this is very mild and is well tolerated..
What should I expect to see after treatment? The hair will remain as follicles but the heat has destroyed them so you should see the dead hairs shed after 7-21 days as the epidermis renews.
How many treatments will I need? We always recommend a course of 6 or more treatments in order to see optimum results
Am I the right candidate for this treatment? Most people are suitable, best results are achieved on those who have a darker hair follicle, this is because dark hair has a higher concentration of melanin. A full consultation and patch test is required prior to any treatment and you will fill a medical health questionnaire out to help us determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment. This treatment will NOT work on grey/ white or red hair. You can NOT have this treatment is you use a sunbed. You must have NOT had any sun exposure to your targeted area in at least 4 weeks because your the laser will treat your skins melanin rather than the hair.

The cost of this consultation and patch test is 20 and we take this on booking, this will also act as your booking deposit. If you decide to go ahead with a course of treatments then this will be redeemable against the total cost.
